A crowd of over 150 policy makers, academic/business leaders, service providers, students, innovators who are looking to solve problems related to aging in the Austin community, active aging adults and caregivers convened on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 for the 2019 Livability for Longevity Symposium.
Hosted by AustinUP, the City of Austin Commission on Seniors and the LBJ School of Public Affairs, the Symposium was held to explore policies and projects that support optimal aging in place. The event was free to attend and was held in the Bass Lecture Hall at the LBJ School of Public Affairs.
This year's sponsors were AARP Texas, St. David's Foundation, Atria Senior Living, Westminster and the Senior Resource Guide. Free copies of the Guide's latest Austin edition were provided to attendees.
Featured exhibitors included AGE of Central Texas, Capital City Village, Drive a Senior, Family Eldercare and Meals on Wheels Central Texas.
