More than 150 attendees gathered at the Jewish Community Center for the 2019 Caregiver Conference: Delivering Hope & Strength Through Knowledge hosted by the Alzheimer's Association Capital of Texas Chapter on March 28, 2019.
Rev. Carla Cheatham, PhD gave a wonderful presentation on self-compassion and Dr. John Bertelson answered questions about Alzheimer's disease and other dementias. Caregivers also had the opportunity to ask questions to local professionals and get access to local resources.
"[...] we want to thank everyone who came, sponsors, speakers and committee members because they made this day incredible," said Alejandra Scott, community outreach coordinator at Alzheimer’s Association Capital of Texas Chapter.
The Senior Resource Guide was a proud sponsor of this event and provided free copies of the Guide’s latest Austin edition to attendees.
