8th Annual Senior Prom
Senior citizens of The Medallion and Seven Acres Jewish Senior Care Services experienced a magical evening on August 18, 2016 at the 8th annual Senior Prom put on by The Leading Ladies and Houston Area Youth Council on Service under the leadership of Randy McKinney.
The Senior Prom has become one of the most anticipated events of the year. This year’s theme was “Born on the Bayou,” representing Houston, “The Bayou City,” and The Medallion, which is situated adjacent to Brays Bayou.
Donning their finest clothes and biggest smiles, the seniors were entertained by their youth dates in theme-appropriate attire, enthusiasm and energy. Prom-goers enjoyed a festive and special evening of connection filled with laughing, listening, sharing happy memories of the past and experiencing the joy of making new ones.
The evening culminated with the crowning of the Prom Queen, who was escorted and seated to her throne—adorned with cape, crown and scepter along with a bouquet of roses.
