Over 300 guests joined Central Texas Advocates for Parkinson’s (CTAP) at the 10th Annual CTAP Gala: A Night in White on April 7, 2018. This has been CTAP’s most successful year to date raising over $52,000 to fund the Movin’ To Wellness programs through Baylor Scott & White Health's Plummer Movement Disorders Center. These programs include dance, music, yoga, tai chi, etc.; educational symposiums with direct access to doctors; and pharma companies regarding treatment and equipment advances.
Sponsored by Baylor Scott & White Hospice, the lovely evening featured music by the Leon River Band, a live and silent auction, a fantastic casino sponsored by River Springs at Barge Ranch, and performances by the Texas Tremble Tones. For the 5th year, the Georgetown Dance Troupe (fully made up of Parkinson’s patients) performed three breathtaking routines, and a brand new program that emerged after last year’s event.
The 2019 gala is slated for April 6, 2019 at the Bell County Expo Center. For more information or to see additional photos from this year’s event, please visit CTAP’s Facebook page at facebook.com/ctap2008.
The Senior Resource Guide was a proud sponsor of this event and donated a Céline iPad case (made in Italy and retails for $850) for the silent auction. Guests also received free copies of the Senior Resource Guide.
