Texas prides itself on its southern roots and use of fresh ingredients in every dish. Executive Chef Brandi Key at Punk’s Simple Southern Food in Houston is serving up this southern twist on the classic margarita. See below for her Farmerita recipe.

Ingredients
.5 ounces agave nectar
.25 ounces lime juice
1.5 ounces silver tequila
4 ounces organic carrot juice
Directions
Mix ingredients over ice. Serve in mason jar on the rocks with salted rim and fresh garnishes.
