Do You Like Working Remotely?
Do you miss waking up early in the morning to your alarm clock buzzing as you're thinking, Time to get ready for work?
You'd brush your teeth, do your hair, get dressed, eat some breakfast and walk out the door.
You'd get in your car, play music or a podcast and then sit in traffic as every other professional in your area rushed to their jobs as well.
Once at work, you'd make coffee (no judgment if this was your second cup of joe), catch up with co-workers and get started on being productive.
Fast forward to present day where the coronavirus pandemic has tethered most of us to our homes. We asked our network do you like working remotely?
Respondents were able to choose from the following:
- Yes, I love working from home
- No, I’d rather be at the office
- Doesn’t apply to my profession
Of the respondents who are currently working remotely, 62% love working from home while 38% would rather be back at the office.
Those that have the opportunity of working from the comfort of their own home have gained an important resource that we didn't always have before: time.
Due to this pandemic, the time spent commuting to and from work has been eliminated which has allowed us to make room for different things in life. Think to yourself, Instead of allocating time for my commute, I now have the time to.... Take advantage of this extra time because we'll be making our way back to the office one day, just not yet.
Even though we miss our fellow colleagues' beautiful faces and contagious laughs, we must make the best of this time and be more productive than ever before!
Whether you're now filling your extra time with creating better habits like exercising, cooking healthier meals or simply spending it with family and friends, use it wisely because as 2020 has taught us, you never know when things can change.
