What Most Entices You to Attend a Virtual Networking Event
Do you miss heading to the must-attend networking event in town?
You'd show up, shake hands, introduce yourself to the room and receive everyone's business cards. Then, you'd get excited about what food would be served and even more thrilled when you saw there were door prizes and giveaways. Furthermore, you were eager to listen to and learn from the speaker that you were wanting to see for months.
Fast forward to present day...things are different. Events have taken a dramatic turn leading to the most creative ideas on how to keep professional interactions going in times of staying home.
Virtual events are the new go-to networkings. We know what draws people to in-person events, so now we're curious about what reels them in for virtual ones.
We asked our network which of the following MOST entices you to attend a virtual networking event?
Respondents were able to choose from the following:
- Speaker/Topic
- Prizes/Giveaways
- Attendees/Possible Contacts
- Fun Theme
- Socialization Opportunity
- Convenient Time
Through our results, 47% of respondents are most enticed by the speaker/topic followed by attendees/possible contacts (30%).
When constructing an online event, keep in mind that eldercare professionals are always looking to gain insight and expand their knowledge. Find a speaker who is an expert in their field and what they'll cover. Keep topics interesting and relevant to the industry—you want possible attendees to see the topic and think, "I HAVE to tune in this week!"
If you're a speaker, shoot us an email to be included on the Senior Resource Guide's Preferred Speaker List and be among the go-to voices in the industry.
