When your loved one is facing a serious or life-limiting illness, you might hear the terms “palliative care” or “hospice” mentioned as a way of easing pain and improving quality of life.
There is often confusion when it comes to these two types of care. While they have a lot in common, such as they both aim to bring comfort to the patient by addressing the patient’s physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs, they do differ in some significant ways.
