Standards of Care Webinar Series: Driving LTC Clinical Quality
Join LeadingAge Texas every month on the third Tuesday for the Standards of Care Webinar Series: Driving LTC Clinical Quality! April's topic is "Care of the Dialysis Recipient."
This 12-month webinar series focuses on nursing facility systems of care and managing common conditions treated in the LTC setting. Each session addresses standards of care, staff training/competency focus areas, critical nursing assessment/documentation principles, care planning guidance, recommended Q&A activities and practical daily operations guidance with extensive use of case examples.
The fourth session of the Standards of Care Webinar Series will review regulatory requirements and best practices specific to the resident receiving in-house or offsite dialysis with guidance on pre- and post-treatment monitoring protocols. Through lecture and case study analysis attendees will identify critical nursing assessment and documentation principles to apply in daily practical operations to promote resident well-being and minimize potential risks.
The learning objectives are:
- Describe best practices for implementing and/or improving critical nursing assessment and documentation practices pertinent to the resident receiving dialysis
- Understand the role of interdisciplinary team members in collaborating to manage complex conditions
- Describe a process for establishing priority QAPI and staff development activities
For this session, one total clock hour of NAB/NCERS credit has been approved.
