Sexual Violence Prevention in Disasters - Vidor

The Sexual Violence Prevention in Disasters Task Force will hold four community workshops to address the risk factors of sexual violence before, during and after a disaster. Literature will be distributed.  Please RSVP for planning purposes if you are able to attend.

Topics will include:

• History of the Sexual Violence Prevention in Disasters Task Force ;
• Mental health and emotional needs of residents;
• Basic safety issues to include evacuation, shelter and reentry ;
• How and where to report a crime or suspicious behavior;
• How to obtain a medical/forensic exam;
• How to access social services
