The Austin Aging Well Resource Network is hosting a series of upcoming monthly seminars on retirement planning. A team of experts will provide fresh insights into financial security, aging in place, health and long-term care.
The seventh session, Innovations and the Future of Aging, will take place on Tuesday, August 21 in Auditorium B and will include the following speakers:
- Teresa Sansone Ferguson, executive director, AustinUP
As the executive director at AustinUP, a local non-proft organization, Teresa and her team advocate for and explore the future of aging. There is a trend across the U.S. to build age-friendly communities; and Austin is stepping up to this challenge.
- Diana Deaton, ambassador, Aging2.0 Austin
Diana has 30+ years of experience in senior housing. She is currently relaunching the Austin chapter of Aging2.0, an international, interdisciplinary and intergenerational organization that supports innovators taking on the biggest challenges and opportunities in aging.
