Virtual Event: Hurricane Preparedness During COVID-19
Join Brookdale Senior Living for a virtual event covering hurricane preparedness during COVID-19 on Wednesday, July 8.
In May, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration predicted that due to multiple climate factors, above-normal Atlantic hurricane activity is most likely. This year three named storms have already occurred before hurricane season started June 1, and there's still a long way to go before the season ends November 30.
Planning for hurricane season and other potential disasters can be stressful, and because the 2020 hurricane season comes during the COVID-19 pandemic, it may be especially so this year. Misty Gunn, emergency operations center manager with the Harris County Office of Homeland Security, will share how to prepare for hurricanes during the pandemic.
This event is FREE to attend and will be held virtually via Zoom. Registration is required here.
