Virtual Event: Housing for Health
The Aging Services Council of Central Texas' Homeless and Aging Collaborative presents "Housing for Health" on Thursday, March 11.
The face of American homelessness is changing—into an older one. People 50 and older make up more than 30 percent of the nation's homeless population. While homeless people of all ages suffer from the effects of poor nutrition, limited health care access and high stress levels, homelessness poses specific health risks for elders.
Join this webinar to discuss the homelessness in Austin, it's impact on older adults and available resources. Social work contact hours will be available. To see the event flier, visit here.
This event is FREE to attend and will be held virtually. Register here.
