Great Age Movement
The Great Age Movement invites you to join them as they host their 2nd Annual Jazz Luncheon, a tribute to the great music legend Duke Ellington, on Sunday, June 3 at the Four Seasons Hotel Houston.
Multi-award winner and local favorite, Ernie Manouse, will be the emcee for the afternoon. Prominent philanthropists, corporate leaders, entrepreneurs, young professionals and celebrities from across the great city of Houston will join together and enjoy great music, food and philanthropy! Guests will also be treated to a music performance by local icon Bubba McNeely Duo.
The Great Age Achievement Award will be presented to the following recipients:
- Buzz Aldrin- former astronaut, author and philanthropist
- Joanne King Herring- philanthropist, diplomat, businesswoman and former talk show host
- Mercedes Ellington- founder and president of Duke Ellington Center for The Arts, legendary choreographer/dancer and granddaughter of Duke Ellington
This year's honorary chairs are famed philanthropist, Dr. Carolyn Farb, h.c., and renowned private jeweler and philanthropist, Peter Martino, with co-chairs Staci Henderson and Barbara Reyna.
The event will benefit the capital campaign to raise funds to build senior playgrounds and support development of programs in community green spaces.
Individual Tickets start at $150 and Sponsorships start at $1,500. Both can be purchased on the event website.
