Calling all caregivers! Learn about the essentials of caregiving monthly with UT Health School of Nursing's Caring for the Caregiver Program.
March's topic is "Essentials of Caregiving: Planning for the Future" given by Carole White RN, PhD, FAAN. Essentials of Caregiving are classes focused on providing support and tools to caregivers as they care for a loved one living with a diagnosis of Alzheimer's or related dementia. This session is designed for caregivers and family members to discuss the importance of making a plan for the future, as well as some of the decisions you will need to make related to care, including advance care planning. As a participant, you have the opportunity to share and reflect with others on their experiences while also discussing strategies to help your loved one prepare for the next steps.
