Eighth Annual Consumer Fraud Expo and Information Fair

Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and the Family and Consumer Sciences Program Advisory Committee will host the eighth annual Consumer Fraud Expo and Information Fair on Friday, February 15. The event will be held at the Rosenberg Civic Center, 3825 South Highway 36 in Rosenberg. The event is free of charge and doors will open at 9:00 a.m. with non-profit and government agencies exhibiting services that are provided for residents of Fort Bend County. Speaker presentations will begin at 10:00 a.m. Speakers include Mary Southwick from the Better Business Bureau Education Foundation who will address Medicare fraud. Also speaking will be Officer Michael Bradley from the Rosenberg police force who will address telemarketing and computer fraud of the elderly. The final speaker will be Dianne Gertson, Family and Consumer Sciences Extension Agent who will address medication safety and making the right choices.
