Join The Village of River Oaks on Tuesday, February 18 for the introductory Dementia Friendly Houston meeting.
Dementia Friendly America is a national network of communities, organizations and individuals seeking to ensure that communities across the United States are equipped to support people living with dementia and their caregivers. Dementia Friendly communities foster the ability of people living with dementia to remain in community and engage and thrive in day to day living.
During February's meeting, Edward Esguerra will introduce Dementia Friendly Houston. He has been in the senior living industry for over 15 years. During his college years, he decided to follow his passion in dementia care and entered the industry professionally as an activity professional. Since then, he has been awarded the Argentum Hero Award, TALA Hero Award, and his work has also been featured on tv and in magazines. Edward is excited to be bringing Dementia Friendly to Houston!
