An estimated 1.5 million people in the U.S. have Parkinson’s disease. Parkinson’s disease has a significant impact on mobility, communication, thinking or memory skills. Capital Area Parkinson's Society (CAPS) invites all medical healthcare personnel and caregivers to a FREE training on Saturday, June 2.
Attendees will learn about important medication schedules, fall prevention, issues with pain, sleep, mobility and more.
This event will be held on the 5th floor of the St. David's Medical Office Building. Light refreshments will be served.
The “TULIPS for Better Parkinson’s Care” training program addresses the problems and concerns most often raised by clients, families and their caregivers. The training program is designed to include practical strategies for coping with common daily challenges in mobility, nutrition, pain control, sleep, medications and other nursing concerns.
