AustinUP Virtual Q&A: Art Spark Texas
to
Join AustinUP and Art Spark Texas for a virtual Q&A on Thursday, January 28.
Established in 1996, Art Spark Texas has built a legacy of offering high quality, inclusive arts programs and services in Austin. They are the only organization operating at the intersection of arts, education and disability in Texas. As part of their mission, Art Spark Texas works to ensure that the artistic voices of older adults in Austin and surrounding areas are encouraged, heard and supported.
In this session, you’ll hear about their program, Mobile Art, which has provided art activities to seniors with disabilities in Austin since 2007, and their belief that learning is a continuous lifelong process that plays a role in keeping mentally active and promoting personal development.
AustinUP’s Teresa Sansone Ferguson will lead the Q&A, and the guest is Jerry Slayton, education director at Art Spark Texas.
This event is FREE to attend and will be held virtually via Facebook Live.
