Don't miss the opportunity to visit with experts and tour the MEGA Brain at the Alzheimer's Caregiver Conference and Resource Fair on Friday, June 8!
There will be a multitude of healthcare vendors in attendance, lunch and carotid artery screenings performed by Alvin Community College nursing students.
Speakers and topics include:
- Steve Andriko, Alzheimer's Association representative - "Taking Care of Yourself: Managing Caregiver Stress"
- Paul Schulz, M.D., director of memory disorders and dementia clinics at UTHealth - "Update on Diagnosis and Treatment of Alzheimer's Disease"
This event is sponsored by Alvin Family Community Center, UTHealth, the Alzheimer's Association, and the Brazoria County Alzheimer's Awareness Project. The Brazoria County Alzheimer's Awareness Project is a partnership of the Brazoria County Health Department and the Gathering Place. This event is hosted with community partners, Colonial Oaks Assisted Living and Memory Care and Friendly Faces Senior Care.
