Virtual Event: 7th Annual Williamson County Caregiver Conference
Join AGE of Central Texas for three free days of learning, support and fellowship for family caregivers in the Round Rock, Pflugerville, Cedar Park, Leander, Hutto, Lockhart and Georgetown areas.
Set for September 15-17, the 7th Annual Williamson County Caregiver Conference was created to help ease the challenges of caring for an aging family member by providing unpaid caregivers with relevant information and vital resources.
Participants will discover local resources, acquire skills to better manage their caregiving situation and connect with local experts on aging. The virtual event will feature expert presentations discussing “Caregiving During Difficult Times.”
This year's conference schedule is listed below:
- Tuesday, September 15 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.: “Promoting Positive Caregiving – Even During Tough Times” presented by Barry J. Jacobs, Psy.D.
- Wednesday, September 16 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.: “Senior Housing During COVID-19 – An Update” presented by Michael Gill, president of Texas Senior Living Locators
- Thursday, September 17 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.: “Social and Emotional Awareness Through Writing” presented by Rob Colgate, Badgerdog
