Nely AWARE Luncheon Draft
Celebrate the 22nd Annual AWARE Luncheon on Thursday, November 18 and join in supporting the fight against Alzheimer's disease!
The Alzheimer's Women's Auxiliary for Resources and Education (AWARE) has supported the mission of the Alzheimer's Association Houston & Southeast Texas Chapter for the past 21 years. It has raised over $4.6 million for the Association to continue to enhance care and support for all those affected by Alzheimer's and related dementias.
Following in that legacy, wonderful luncheon chairs Edith and Walt Parmer invite you to attend this year's event, which will be honoring Baylor College of Medicine for the institution's leadership in the field of Alzheimer's research and their work on the U.S. POINTER Study.
Baylor College of Medicine, in partnership with the Kelsey Research Foundation (KRF), leads the Houston study site of this landmark study of lifestyle change to protect against the development of memory and thinking problems in older adults that is funded by the Alzheimer's Association. More than 400,000 people are living with Alzheimer's and all other dementia in Texas alone; therefore, finding effective treatments and preventions is critically urgent.
Single tickets from $250 and Sponsorship Tables for $2,500 are available. RSVP is required.
For sponsorship and more information, please contact Nely Sanchez, development manager at the Alzheimer's Association, 713.314.1337 or nsanchez@alz.org.
