2017 Alzheimer's Association Caregiver Conference
Alzheimer's Association Houston & Southeast Texas Chapter
Build on caregiver skills, boost confidence and help reduce caregiver stress on Saturday, June 24 at the 2017 Caregiver Conference presented by the Alzheimer's Association Houston & Southeast Texas Chapter.
The conference will feature a special presentation on the Validation Method, a holistic therapy for treating Alzheimer’s disease, developed by Naomi Feil. The method focuses on empathy and provides a means for Alzheimer’s patients to communicate. Participants will make breakout sessions choices at check-in. Early registration starts at 8.00 a.m.
This year, those with mild cognitive impairment or early memory loss are invited to join in as the event will include sessions specially designed for them.
Free onsite companion services (respite) for persons with dementia is provided. Pre-registration for this service is required by June 9.
