CGSAC Corpus Christi Trip
Conley-Guerrero Senior Activity Center (CGSAC) participants enjoyed a fun-filled trip to Corpus Christi sponsored by the CGSAC Advisory Board.
First stop was the Selena Museum where Selena’s father, Abraham Quintanilla, Jr., was on hand to give a tour of the recording studio and sound stage.
After chowing down on a delicious lunch at Hoegemeyer’s Barbeque Barn, the group made their way to their final destination, the USS Lexington Museum On The Bay. The walking tour consisted of five decks of US Navy history and a 3-D documentary called “Aircraft Carrier Guardians of the Sea” shown in the ship’s three stories’ mega theater.
The fun didn’t end there—participants enjoyed prize drawings, snacks, drinks and travel bingo provided by the CGSAC Guild on the bus.
