Family caregivers discovered local resources, learned new skills and connected with other caregivers and aging experts on May 21, 2016 at A Caregiver’s Hope: 3rd Annual Caregiver Conference.
Held at Keller Williams Realty and presented by CAPCOG's Area Agency on Aging, Austin Senior Resource Alliance and Cummings Realty Associates, the free conference featured an opportunity for caregivers to learn how they can use technology to improve the life of the person they care for along with tips on how to take care of themselves.
Attendees enjoyed lunch provided by Longhorn Village and the following speaker presentations:
- Dr. Perez: "Caregivers Stress- Signs to Look for & How to Avoid"
- Dr. Carlson: "In Home Technology Doctors May Use in the Future"
- Dr. Dewald: "How Technology Can Correct the Perils of Untreated Hearing Loss"
- Dr. Bruce Meleski: "New Technology to Aid in Sleeping"
Dr. Carlson was also the keynote speaker and presented, "How to Communicate With Your Doctor."
