2015 Walk to Cure Arthritis - Austin
Funds raised through Walk to Cure Arthritis events across the nation support Arthritis Foundation programs, research and advocacy initiatives to help prevent, control and find a cure for this crippling disease.
Area residents raised money to fight and cure arthritis by participating in the San Antonio Walk to Cure Arthritis on May 16 and the Austin Walk to Cure Arthritis on April 25.
“This was our first year that the Arthritis Foundation has held the Walk to Cure Arthritis at beautiful Eisenhower Park,” says Arthritis Foundation South Central Region CEO Susan Carter. “This is such a great venue to raise awareness while raising critically needed dollars to fund local programs and research to find a cure and end the pain of arthritis for those who suffer from this debilitating disease throughout Texas.”
Walk to Cure Arthritis, the Arthritis Foundation’s national signature event, is nationally presented by Amgen, Massage Envy Spa and Aleve. The local sponsors included: Walgreens, Valero, Methodist Healthcare, as well as many other in kind sponsors.
