Texas Department on Aging and Disability Services (DADS) in collaboration with Texas State University are hosting an informative one-day, FREE event focusing on dementia in long-term care and community settings on Thursday, August 20.
Attendees will gain knowledge on how staff and caregivers can improve relationships with older adults with dementia and learn non-pharmacological strategies for managing behaviors related to dementia.
The information provided will help empower staff and family caregivers with innovative methods to connect, communicate and care for loved ones, gain knowledge of standards for care while adhering to guidelines, and reduce caregiver stress by providing easy to implement tools and information.
