During the Monterey Square Wine & Arts Fair on Saturday, October 13 in the historic, pedestrian-friendly downtown, you will find unique Texas wine, local artists and gourmet food experiences, as well as just the sort of shops you’d hope for in a quaint Texas town. Find antiques, vintage and flea market goods, clothing, children’s items, toys, gifts, art, salons and dining options that range from organic goodness to international flair.
Drive down Friday, October 12 in the evening for the Texas wine dinner. Provisions Bistro & Market hosts celebrity chef Monica Pope and Llano Estacado Winery’s Bill Freidhof Friday evening beginning at 6:00 p.m.
Then if you’re looking for a little adventure, Saturday morning, check out Cowboy Up Hang Gliding, take a stroll with the Spot Trot. Cyclists plan to take a trip on quiet country back roads with rides of 15-30-60 miles.
Take a stroll along the scenic Colorado River, shop downtown Wharton and be prepared for some great Texas entertainment and Texas wine beginning at 2:00 p.m. Will call and on site tickets available on the courthouse lawn.
Tickets are $25 and you can purchase them here. Ticket holders will receive a commemorative wine glass, 10 tasting tickets, a map of the wine trail, free admission to the historic Wharton County Courthouse and Railroad Depot as well as complimentary transportation on the historic trail shuttle.
