Cook-Walden's Annual Caregiver Drive to Support AGE of Central Texas

Cook-Walden Funeral Homes & Cemeteries invites the community to participate in their annual Caregiver Drive November 9 through December 4 at five Cook-Walden locations.
The drive will collect items to support the community programs of AGE of Central Texas, a regional nonprofit that tackles the challenges of aging with expert solutions. The drive is in conjunction with National Caregivers Month to show support for those who care for Austin’s seniors with dignity and respect.
The community is encouraged to donate the following items:
- Prizes for bingo and birthdays, holiday gifts
- Colored pencils and Crayola markers
- Book cases
- Towels (large & small)
- Paints (different colors) for art and glue (both liquid and glue sticks)
- Regular & diabetic snacks
- Craft beads- different colors
- Microfiber wash mop with 48-inch extension pole
- Wrapping paper/gift bags/balloons (large & medium)
- Rope lights- green and blue (200 ft.)
- Construction paper- assorted colors
- Accucheck machines & test strips
- CD player with iPod capability
- Roll of white butcher paper
- Wheelchairs and shower chairs
- Bathtub transfer benches
- Walker “Rollator” with seats
- Adult incontinence products
Donations can be dropped off daily from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at any of these Cook-Walden locations:
