2018 Walk to Cure Arthritis - San Antonio
Olmos Basin Park 651 Devine Rd, San Antonio, Texas 78209
Arthritis Foundation
Whether you’re an arthritis warrior yourself or care about someone who is, sign up and walk to cure arthritis on Saturday, May 19 at Olmos Basin Park!
Arthritis affects more than 50 million Americans, including 300,000 children. They are warriors. They face relentless pain, a frustrating search for a diagnosis, multiple doctor’s visits and treatment, missed work and school, limited mobility, a maze of medical and insurance paperwork, and the desire to live a full life without the limitations that arthritis can create.
For 70 years, in one community after another across the country, the Arthritis Foundation has taken colossal steps to conquer this crippling disease. Much more than just a walk event, Walk to Cure Arthritis is the Arthritis Foundation’s nationwide signature event that unites communities across the country to put an end to arthritis—celebrating the warriors, raising funds for research, resources and a cure.
The San Antonio event aims to raise $56,000. This year's adult honoree is Crystal Ryno who has ankylosing spondylitis, a type of inflammatory arthritis that primarily affects the spine or back.
