Build skills, boost confidence and reduce stress on Friday, June 22 at the 2018 Caregiver Conference: The Courage to Care presented by Alzheimer's Association Houston & Southeast Texas Chapter.
The conference will deliver presentations designed to foster courage in caregivers. Sessions in the morning will address caregiving skills, including understanding and responding to dementia-related behavior, creating a safe environment and managing sleep patterns in people with dementia.
The afternoon will focus on encouragement and self-care. Learn practical strategies for caring for yourself that will help you care for your loved one. Visit tables to try out different self-care strategies and discover what works for you!
Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. Sessions start at 9:00 a.m.
The registration fee is $20 for early registration and $30 for registration after June 9. Fee includes a light breakfast and boxed lunch. There is no respite fee. FREE onsite companion services (respite) for persons with dementia is provided—pre-registration for this service is required by June 9.
