Texas Book Festival Overview
Celebrating its 22nd anniversary, the Texas Book Festival promises to be a big stuffed omelet of literary goodness appealing to bibliophiles of every stripe!
One of the largest and most prestigious literary festivals in the country, the annual Festival features 250+ nationally and critically recognized authors, 20+ venues including the State Capitol, 80+ exhibitors, live music, local food trucks, family activities and countless opportunities to meet authors and fellow book lovers.
This year, the Texas Book Festival is excited to welcome actor, screenwriter, director, and producer Tom Hanks to present his new collection of short fiction, Uncommon Type. Hanks will discuss his surprising, intelligent and heartwarming stories with best-selling author Lawrence Wright. For tickets and more details, please visit here.
The Texas Book Festival is a non-profit organization. Contributions help produce this popular annual event and year-round literary events, as well as to support the Texas Book Festival's literacy programs and grants to Texas public libraries.
The 2017 Festival will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 4 and from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 5. Admission is complimentary.
